Pastor · Technology Executive · Founder
I am the Senior Pastor of Victory Baptist Church in Rowlett, Texas, and the founder of Barnabas Software. Owned and operated under Hon Ventures LLC, Barnabas Software was founded to give churches the dependable tools they deserve — built by someone who truly understands what ministry life is like from the inside, backed by enterprise technology discipline.
Raised in a pastor's home as the oldest of nine children (all serving in ministry today), faith has always been the foundation of everything I do. Technology is simply the tool I've been given to serve the Church.
God brought me to Victory Baptist Church in Rowlett, Texas in June 2022. On May 3, 2023, I was called as the new Senior Pastor — a role I consider the highest privilege of my life.
Growing up as the oldest of nine children in a pastor's home gave me a front-row seat to what real ministry looks like: the late-night counseling calls, the hospital visits, the weddings and funerals, the Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. All nine of my siblings are serving the Lord in ministry today.
My wife Susan and I have been married for over 20 years and are blessed with eleven children. We are passionate about building godly homes and raising multi-generational Christians who love the Lord.
At Victory, our mission is simple: Know God. Love God. Love Others.
While serving in ministry, I simultaneously built a 25+ year career in enterprise technology — rising to CTO and Strategy Director roles at some of the world's most respected technology firms. Through my company, Hon Ventures LLC, I channel that technical leadership and enterprise architecture directly into software designed to empower local churches.
I have led digital transformation, cloud strategy, AI modernization, and supply chain innovation across global organizations. As CTO for the Public Sector at Fujitsu, I oversaw technology strategy for government and education clients. As Strategy Director, I drive AI and application modernization at scale.
This experience means that when I build software for churches, it's not an experiment — it's the same standard of quality, security, and reliability that I apply to Fortune 500 clients, made accessible for ministry budgets under the governance and support of Hon Ventures LLC.
"Barnabas was known in the early church as the Son of Encouragement. He came alongside people and helped them succeed. That's exactly what we want Barnabas Software to do for your church."
A sustainable foundation combining enterprise technical capability, financial durability, and an unwavering commitment to the local church.
Barnabas Software is not a side experiment or an unbacked hobby. As a registered DBA of Hon Ventures LLC, our ministry tools are supported by dedicated corporate infrastructure, legal accountability, and sustained operational investment.
Under the stewardship of Hon Ventures LLC, our commitment to church confidentiality is foundational. We never sell congregation data, run third-party advertising, or compromise security standards.
Hon Ventures LLC is Matthew Hon's venture entity established to channel 25+ years of Fortune 500 cloud architecture, AI solutions, and product design directly into tools that equip pastors and ministries.

Most church software is built by people who understand technology. Most pastoral tools are built by people who have never written a line of code. Barnabas Software exists in that rare intersection — built by someone who has done both, for 25+ years, simultaneously.
